About Metheus
Who we are, who we work with and where we operate.
Metheus is a London-based international expansion consultancy. We help companies decide where to grow, enter new markets and scale once they are there. We support every engagement with market evidence rather than assumption.
We work across four offerings. Decide covers choosing the right market and entry route. Enter covers launching in a new market. Accelerate covers scaling growth after entry. Recover covers diagnosing and fixing an expansion that has stalled.
We work with B2B technology companies, SaaS scale-ups, venture capital and private equity firms and their portfolio companies, and retail and e-commerce brands. Our clients usually have product-market fit at home and are ready to grow beyond it.
We do not stop at the strategy deck. Our approach follows three phases: decide, execute, adapt. We build the case with market data, stay with clients through entry, and adjust the plan as real-world results come in.
We were founded in London in 2021 and have offices in London, Chicago and Istanbul, with Hong Kong opening soon. We have served clients in 30+ markets worldwide, and we work with companies wherever they are headquartered.
Market entry & expansion
How we approach a new market, from first evidence to first customers.
We start with a market and opportunity assessment covering market size, demand drivers, buyer behaviour, competition, pricing and regulation. That evidence shows which segments, channels and partners make sense, and where the risks are, before any plan is written.
A large or fast-growing market isn't automatically the right one. We weigh market attractiveness against company-market fit: whether your problem is a funded priority there, whether your offer suits local commercial terms, and whether your positioning works without extensive explanation.
Entry mode depends as much on your organisation as on the market. Direct entry, distribution, partnership, licensing and acquisition can all be viable in the same market. We recommend the route your team can realistically sustain.
We adapt more than language. Messaging, customer journey and go-to-market approach are localised so they resonate with local buyers while keeping your global identity intact. Our offices and partner network give us on-the-ground context in each region.
Yes. Our Accelerate offering supports scaling once you're established. Recover is for expansions that haven't performed as planned: we diagnose what went wrong and build a path back.
Working with us
How engagements start, who you will work with, and what to expect from the process.
Book a free introductory consultation. We may send a short questionnaire beforehand so the conversation focuses on your situation. If there is a fit, we follow with a tailored proposal covering approach, timeline and pricing.
Both. Project engagements address a defined question, such as which market to enter, within a set timeframe. Ongoing advisory suits companies in active expansion that need continuous support as conditions change.
Each engagement is led by a project lead, supported by industry specialists and consultants. The team's size and makeup depend on the scope and complexity of the work.
Your team's input matters most during discovery, strategy review and key decisions. Outside those points, we work around your existing workload and keep check-ins focused, so the engagement does not disrupt day-to-day operations.
Yes. We work with clients worldwide through virtual workshops, shared data and regular updates, and we work on-site where an engagement benefits from it.
Pricing, timelines & results
What to expect, and when.
Pricing depends on scope, complexity and duration, so every engagement is quoted individually. After the introductory consultation, you receive a detailed cost breakdown with no hidden fees.
Focused projects typically run one to three months. Ongoing expansion support can run for more than a year.
It depends on what you are measuring. Early signals, such as buyer response and pipeline quality, usually appear within the first few months. Meaningful revenue from a new market typically takes longer, often until after the first year.
No consultancy can honestly guarantee market outcomes. Instead, we agree clear KPIs and success criteria at the start, track them throughout and report on progress against them.
A proposal covers the approach, timeline, team and pricing. It also sets out what we will measure and how we will report on it.
Proof & ongoing support
Evidence of our work, and what happens after the engagement ends.
Yes. Our Success Stories page covers published engagements. We can also share specific client references and case studies, with the client's permission.
We remain available for follow-up consultations and plan adjustments. We can also move into ongoing advisory if your expansion needs continued support.
